The merger of two of Sweden’s leading padel groups, PDL and Padel United, was announced today.

PDL was founded in 2015 by entrepreneurs Henrik Söderberg and Jonas Andersson, as well as former tennis professional Jonas Björkman and artist Måns Zelmerlöv. Fidelio invested in the company in 2019.

PDL and Padel United have complementary padel facilities today, with a joint ambition to driver further expansion of the sport internationally. The combined group currently has a total of 118 padel centers, with another 50 centers set to be opened soon.

Alongside the merger, the group has raised additional capital to drive ongoing expansion.
